Today's challenge

Average 8+ pins on full racks.

Where to start

Long oil keeps the ball skidding, so it needs more hook to come back. Try around Left 6 to 9, lined up well right of center.

Watch where your first ball hits. If it crosses over to the left, line up further right or use less hook. If it misses right, add hook or move left. The exact line that struck most in our simulator appears here once this lane is over.

Reading the lane

Heavy, long oil. The ball barely hooks until the very end, so a big hook and a steady line are the way to strike. This lane also leans right once the ball leaves the oil, so aim a little left of where you normally would.

For spares, set the hook to Straight and aim right at the pin. See how to pick up spares and oil patterns explained.
